A New Name. The Same Work. A Clearer Direction.
Jan 14, 2026If you’ve landed here looking for Hooper Rees, you’re not lost.
I’m moving everything from hooperrees.com to edgeeq.com.
This change isn’t about reinventing the work. It’s about describing it more accurately.
For years, I’ve worked with leaders who operate under pressure — fast growth, high stakes, constant change. The common thread in every engagement has been emotional intelligence. Not as theory, but as behaviour. Not as intention, but as impact.
Edge EQ reflects that focus more clearly.
The “edge” is what shows up in moments that matter:
• When emotions rise and judgement slips
• When leadership pressure exposes habits we didn’t know we had
• When good intentions still land badly
That’s where emotional intelligence counts.
What’s Not Changing
The work remains grounded, practical, and behaviour-focused.
I’ll continue to work one-to-one with senior leaders and with leadership teams inside organisations that expect a lot from their people — and themselves.
The aim stays the same:
• Greater awareness
• Better emotional regulation
• Clearer leadership impact
If you’ve worked with me before, nothing about the experience will feel unfamiliar.
Why the Move Now
As my work has grown, the name Hooper Rees has felt increasingly tied to me, rather than to the work itself.
Edge EQ creates space — for the work to stand on its own, and for clients to immediately understand what they are stepping into.
It’s simpler. It’s clearer. And it better reflects how leaders actually experience this work.
